Adeline and Luke…in Charleston!!

This past weekend we had two unbelievably FUN Engagement sessions in one of my favorite cities in the world, Charleston, SC. It was going to be a fun little family weekend trip for us. Until Mak told us that he really didn’t want to go. He would rather stay with my parents. At first I was a little bummed but then realized that a trip with just Clara Beth could be different and fun. We never do trips with just one kid…it’s either both or none. It turned out to be a really great weekend, just the three of us. We ate at a “fancy” restaurant, went dress shopping on King Street and our little one ate more treats and sweets in a two day period than she has had in the past six months. And every time she got a sweet treat, Momma and Daddy got a cup of coffee. It was wonderful and Mak’s right…he would have hated it. Fancy restaurants and shopping are just not our boy’s idea of a good time. He had fun back home with his cousins and grandparents. And, don’t worry. His “only kid” weekend will be coming up soon.

So, being in Charleston reminded me of this session that I haven’t blogged yet! Miss Adeline and her baby brother, Luke!! They live in Charleston and their Momma, Casey, and I have been longtime blog friends. Casey decided that she was ready for THE portrait of Adeline…you know, the one that will hang on her wall forever and ever and will represent her little girl as a little girl…and I was SO excited that we were able to do it! Casey and I had talked about Collin photographing her babies for years and it was finally happening. The session went SO well. Luke was the typical busy, funny and happy little guy and Adeline never stopped talking the entire time we walked all over downtown. This child is SOOOO stinkin’ funny! Collin and I had such a great time with them and I love the way that the session turned out. And, Luke, we can’t wait to do your heirloom portrait sometime soon, Buddy!
