our school

I woke up yesterday morning and realized that so far this year I haven’t taken any photos of Mak at school. And school has been a pretty big deal for us this year, so I feel that it deserves to be documented. Besides the whole “birthing him” event, I’d say teaching him has been the...

I loved all you had to share. You are doing a fantastic job as a momma AND a teacher! What a gift you are giving him! The school room is fantatic:) Almost makes me wish we were home schooling so we could do a fun room! I know it’s so much more than getting a fun room though:) Everyone has an opinion about everything… it’s just hard when its something you care so much about and their thoughts are on the opposite side. I’m going back to work part time b/c I miss it and I feel that it is part of my ministry area He has called me to… just like staying at home the past 5 years was what He called me to as well. Yes, I get “the look” when people find out I’m choosing to return to work. It’s like I’m feeding my kids to the wolves:) I pray it works out for us and we survive the transition. I also pray He will guide me and allow me to see if this is not working for our family. We are also blessed that we will not have to choose daycare for our kids to do this. Will never know till I try! I’m so happy you tried and it has worked so well for your family! I’ve enjoyed your homeschool stories…keep ’em coming!ReplyCancel

AMEN ARON! I LOVE this post. This topic is one that is close to my heart. Now having a baby and being a teacher makes me realize everyday that homeschooling seems more and more like the best way to teach a child. It’s sad that homeschooling has such a stigma attached. Mama’s are supposed to teach their children -whether it’s manners or math – that’s our job! 🙂ReplyCancel

Go ahead with your bad self! There are people out there that give homeschooling a bad name, but I think 99% of homeschooling parents are in it for the right reasons. I look forward to joining in, too. 🙂ReplyCancel

Sweet Caroline

It seems appropriate to follow up a post about my sweet niece, Tess, with a post about my other sweet niece, Caroline. As wild as Tess is, Caroline is that reserved. I love watching her sit back and observe a situation for several minutes before she decides if it’s worthy of her attention. Most of...

I can’t believe how much she has grown. She definitely doesn’t have that “baby look” much anymore:) She’s ALMOST looking like a big sister now;)ReplyCancel

Miss Tess!

Sweet Girl!! I think I’ve mentioned in the past how much I love my nieces and nephews. It makes my heart happy that we all live in Florence and the cousins are so close. Just yesterday we were all at the park and they were all running around like wild little monkeys…I just love it....

Brothers and Sisters…More info!

You know how you love your kids? No, really…I mean that feeling that grips your heart and squeezes til you think it will burst? When you overhear them being sweet to one another. Or helping each other. Or even working together to scheme against you. THAT is Brothers and Sisters. As a parent there are...

    Baby Evan!

If you saw the little chunky lovey baby that Evan has now turned into you would think he was a different child from the one I am about to show you! When he was born he was itty bitty…now he is 14 pounds! They grow up WAY too fast. We have been photographing this family...
