Miss Makenzie is here!

Sweet baby! We photographed Miss Makenzie the morning before we headed out for Disney last month. Girly must have known how important it was that we get on the road early, because she showed up for her session asleep and never stirred the entire time she was there. But then, of course she knew. Makenzie...

Baby Madilyn!

We just walked in the door from a FABULOUS weekend celebrating my FABULOUS mom’s 60th birthday at the beach! It was full of laziness and baby lovin’ and children who swam in a ocean that was entirely too cold to swim in. There are photos, of course, and I can’t wait to look at them,...

Around here…

We’re in that time of year when Collin and I frequently feel like junky parents on the weekends. All I have to say is Thank the Lord for family. And I say that in absolute seriousness. The grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins are there to entertain and love on our sweet babes when we are away working. And Mak...

I don’t even know your kiddo and I teared up about his tooth. 🙂

I’d love to hear more about your homeschooling adventures if you’re looking for more to blog about. 😉

I definitely noticed a dip in people blogging b/c of FB, but I also think the allure of that aggravating site is coming to an end. Keep blogging, lots are reading!!ReplyCancel

I am a homeschool mom too. I love the way homeschooling gives our family freedom to do the things we love like spending time with our kids and yet the while we can get our work done too. I am so happy to see that you have such a great balance of home, family, and school.
You should have seen my daughter’s joy when she realized your son and her have the same Horizions math book. She started screaming, “He is in the second grade”. We love looking at your pictures together! Erin, I went to Southside Middle School with you. I am so happy for you that the Lord has blessed you with such blessed life.ReplyCancel

Thanks, Y’all. I think blogs in general are here for good. I feel like stuff gets lost in the shuffle of facebook, and blogs are a good way to keep track of important events, ya know? I am definitely still a blog reader, and I wish I was a better poster. Especially about homeschool stuff. It was a man who started the whole “blogs are dead” conversation I am referring to, and for men he’s probably right. At least about blogs like this one. 😉 Beth, I would LOVE to meet another Florence homeschool mom! And Chrissy, I’m really hoping that sometime in the near future you will have at least a short little stint here in good ol’ Flo-town. Then you can stay in our house and we can stay in the RV. It’ll be a vacation for both of us. 😉ReplyCancel

It all started with Miss Hannah…

Okay, it really didn’t start with Hannah. But she was one of our first studio babies. She was such an early client that her first session was done in my parents’ living room, sofa shoved to the side and background propped up in the corner. She was a beautiful, bald-headed little three month old baby...

Baby Colin!!

Actually, this session is a few months old. But Baby Colin is WAY too cute to not be on the blog, so here he is! Can we all just say a collective “Awwww” at the fact that he gave us not one, but two sleep smiles? Be still my heart! And, by the way, Florence...
