Makin’ pumpkin pancakes, pretendin’ it’s the weekend…

Adding a little bit of Fall to Jack Johnson, there. 😉 So, Monday we headed down to Charleston to photograph an AMAZING family from Atlanta. CUTE twin six year old boys and a sassy little three year old princess. And they showed up with a bucket of treats for us…including a box of Trader Joe’s pumpkin pancake mix. Be still, my heart. I love Florence, truly I do and there is no other place on earth that I would rather call home. But let’s just say I’d love it a little bit more if we had a Trader Joe’s. This weekend we’re going to be NUTSO busy with family sessions at The Claussen House (YAY!!) so we had a fun little family night last night. After our session out in the country we came home, let the kids stay up late and had breakfast for supper. Pumpkin pancakes and baked apples. The house smelled deliciously “Fall” and we all had a great time. The Lord blessed my socks off when He made me the momma in this little family.

Collin does breakfast food in our house. Which means I really like it when we have breakfast for supper. 😉

Did you know that Aldi eggs have a Bible verse in the egg carton? Pretty awesome.

See Mak wiggling that tooth in this next photo?

He lost it about a minute later. Tooth #2 gone for my boy. Bittersweet.

We sat down at the table with our beautiful stack of pumpkin pancakes with perfectly baked apples resting beside them. Clara Beth promptly choked and vomited all over the dining room rug. That’s real life, Baby. Good news is, CB’s not sick it was just a fluke thing. AND we have another box of pumpkin bread mix, thanks to the Darleys. Happy weekend, Folks!

HA! They begged to do pumpkin pancakes ever since Monday night. Plus they were over-tired which makes them super silly. And Daddy makes everything more fun. They never sit on the edge of their seats like that when I’m the one at the stove!ReplyCancel

I have a great recipe for scratch pumpkin pancakes that my family LOVES. In fact, pumpkin pancakes are the only flavor we make at our house anymore!ReplyCancel
