Love this sweet, teeny little baby!  Miss Savannah brought her brand new sister, Mary Virginia, to the studio to see us a few weeks ago.  Their momma walked into the studio saying that she was pretty sure the sibling photos were not going to happen and she was perfectly okay with that.  Y’all, Collin and I love that.  Because seriously, let’s face it, many times the brand new big sibling is in love with the new member of the family, but more often than not?  Um, well, they kind of really don’t like that precious new bundle.  Obviously Savannah and Mary Virginia will be the BEST of pals in no time, but to start off with Savannah was quite simply not a fan.  But you know what she was a fan of?  Puppies.  We are not ashamed of bribery here at Collin M. Smith Portrait Photography, and a promise of a visit with our new pup Auggie was just what Savannah needed to cuddle up to her little sister!  HA!  The sibling photos worked out, and so did the rest of the session!  In fact, I am in love with every bit of Mary Virginia’s session.  She was so perfectly cuddly and content!

And because it never got blogged last year, I’m also going to include Savannah’s first birthday session at the bottom of this post.  Because I love it SOOOOO much!

Y’all, we met this sweet family through another one of our sweet studio families, and I am so glad we did!  We have had he best time getting to know them and photographing Miss MarthaAnn.  And we are thrilled that there is now a little dose of BLUE in this family!  Smith arrived recently and he is just the cutest little guy!  He was such a sweetheart for his newborn session, and super chill through the entire thing.  And from what I hear from his momma he’s continued to stay that way!  Greg and Jordan, congratulations on your gorgeous children!  We are so happy for y’all!

What a cutie Miss Lillian is!  She came into this world with a head full of incredible hair.  I just love that!  Perfect for headbands and bows. =)  For being such a tiny little thing she sure did give us some incredible eye contact!  Her parents did a great job of incorporating personal props into her session.  The “Worth the Wait” onesie is my favorite ever, and I always love incorporating photos of those she was named for into a session!  Sweet girl, you were perfect for your session!  Can’t wait to see you again soon!

Oh, sweet girl!  You are stunning!!  This beautiful child just makes my heart smile!  I will never get over those mile long lashes and big, beautiful eyes, but it’s Leah’s sweet but spunky personality that is the absolute BEST.  Each time we meet up she takes about three minutes to warm back up to us but then it’s all over and she lets her silly side shine through.  And that’s my favorite!  We loved pulling our old vintage lace teepee back out for Leah’s five year session.  I wonder if my great grandmother ever imagined that her lace tablecloth would be used to make a teepee in the woods?  Ha!  I seriously doubt it!  In fact, I might get a good old fashioned tongue lashing if she knew!  Leah, we love you, sweet girl!  Hope your fifth year is a great one!

After visiting for awhile at the restaurant we headed over to The Arch.  Do you know that Collin Smith lived in St. Louis practically his entire life, but never visited it until we were dating and I made him go?  The kids were excited to see it in person and hoped to go up to the top, but it was undergoing renovations so we couldn’t go inside.  It was still incredible, though!

It’s just so incredibly tall.  You really can’t comprehend it until you see it!

Great Day, I love those babies.  Pretty sure this is my favorite picture of them from the trip.

We wandered around downtown for awhile, but then our southern blood was starting to freeze so we decided to call it a night and head back to the hotel.

The next day we did the St. Louis Science Center.  Checking off school days while on Christmas break?  That’s my favorite.

There was so much to do here!  This giant room was full of different brain games.

This one was by far the favorite of everyone.  You used concentration skills to move a ball across a table.

Then they moved on to a crime scene lab where they used clues and tools to solve criminal cases.

Right outside of the crime lab was a real mummy!  This fascinated me!

The walking bridge over the interstate was a big hit for the boys!

I can’t believe how big they all are!

Clara Beth learned about the space missions in science this year, so this portion of the museum was incredible.  It was amazing to see the small spaces that the astronauts were in.

That’s where the St. Louis portion of the trip concluded and we sadly said goodbye to the girls.  Theres so much that we didn’t have time for, and I can’t wait to visit again!  From St. Louis we headed on to Collin’s parents’ home, and had an amazing few days of just sitting around being lazy.  It was great. =)

There was sewing…

And driving…

And shooting…

But most of all, we spent time with these people!  It was a great week!
