As many of you know, Joseph Greenwood is the little boy who inspired our fundraising campaign at the studio, with Joseph’s Angels in 2006 which has since progressed into The $100 Portrait Project. Joseph was a completely healthy little boy who, at age 5, contracted a virus that caused high fevers and invaded his heart. Joseph was the first child in SC to receive the Berlin Heart pump, and received a heart transplant in the Spring of 2007. Since then, Joseph has been doing very well. Yesterday, however, Joseph began showing signs that his body has begun to reject the transplanted heart. The family is in Charleston at MUSC and doctors are giving very strong medications that will hopefully help his body stop fighting against the transplanted heart. I really don’t know a lot of details about the situation other than it is VERY SERIOUS. And I know that he needs our prayers. God has healed Joseph before and I am confident that HE can do it again! So, I am asking you to please pray for this very sick little boy. Pray that he would be COMPLETELY healed. Pray for his parents, Angela and Stephen and his sister, Abby.
Collin photographed Joseph at our last $100 Portrait Project event. Let me tell you, this little boy and his sister are FULL of personality!!! Amazing kids who were so much FUN to work with! Collin had a blast joking around with them and just learning more about who this Miracle Child really is. Here are some of the images that came from that session. Please, Please keep Joseph in your prayers!!! I cannot imagine being in their shoes right now, but I do know that more than anything I would want your prayers.
See that personality I was referring to? 🙂
And here he is with little sister, Abby.
